Federal Executive Board Agency Office Locations

The Federal Executive Board Agency Office Locations map is more than a "who's where" of government office locations in and around the Philadelphia metropolitan region. Members of the Strategic Planning and Management Branch of the Environmental Protection Agency (Region 3) hope it is the first step toward developing an ArcIMS application that will facilitate the relocation efforts of essential government personnel in response to a natural or human-caused event that limits or prevents employees from reaching their assigned home office.

In addition to illustrating the distribution of Federal Executive Board offices in Philadelphia's Center City and areas of Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, this map uses custom symbology to indicate a (number) threshold of employees at a particular office site. This information would prove useful in redirecting employees to secondary office locations where their numbers could be accommodated.

Currently, an effort is being made to inventory various infrastructure data for inclusion in the next phase of this project: an ArcIMS application that shows area surface water intakes, reservoirs, transportation hubs (stations), first responder locations, and utility grid service areas.
