This map is one in a series published by the Oregon Department of Forestry for its fire protection program. The map series covers all lands that the Oregon Department of Forestry protects from fire. The purpose of this series is to assist in initial fire attack as well as all other aspects of firefighting. The maps are sold to the public and have become popular with hunters. Data used to produce these maps is from corporate and regional framework sources. This particular Protection District map was the first to incorporate a hillshade background.
