Stage SitesThe South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) Monitoring Sites map series consists of five maps that are updated monthly by the Environmental Resource Assessment Department. The maps show the locations of active hydrologic monitoring by multiple agencies including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Everglades National Park, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Forestry Service, city of West Palm Beach, and SFWMD. The map series includes Flow, Groundwater Well, Rainfall, Stage, and Weather sites. The latest maps are accessible at the SFWMD Web site. Monitoring data is collected and stored in the SFWMD hydrologic database, DBHydro, and extracted into geodatabase format for use in ArcMap. Monitoring data is used to support various activities such as resource evaluation, ecosystem research, basin planning activities, and information for engineering design. The DBHydro database is accessible at the SFWMD Web site. |
