Beautiful Mount Jefferson

This colorful display of Mount Jefferson, Oregon, was created to demonstrate painted relief and three-dimensional surface viewing techniques using ARC Macro Language (AML) programs. Of special interest to northwest ArcInfo users, this presentation highlights the new 10-meter digital elevation model and the Oregon Framework, 97 data, representing joint efforts of several agencies. In addition, new applications for portraying landscapes were used, combining both map and perspective view formats and demonstrating the possibilities of simple AML scripts and standard data.
