The Water Resources map is a compendium of water resource-related information for an area of approximately 16,000 square miles in the south Florida peninsula including the Florida Keys. It provides a wealth of information on water resource-related features, both natural and man-made. Wetlands greater than 25 acres are shown on the map along with aquatic management areas, natural areas managed by public agencies, and environmentally sensitive areas proposed for acquisition and conservation. The map shows the locations of lakes, canals, and levees and the boundaries of the proposed Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Projects (CERP). It also provides information on regional water supply planning boundaries along with information on water quality and the location of water quality treatment areas for storm water.
