Access to Water Trails for the Bay Area

This map was created for the San Francisco Bay Area Water Trail Project, in collaboration with the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) and the California Coastal Conservancy. It was developed to facilitate planning and discussion at Water Trail Project steering committee meetings. The map focuses on nonmotorized small boat launch and landing sites, BCDC Priority Areas, and other shoreline recreational uses. The bathymetry of the bay was used to draw the viewer away from the surrounding land and to focus on the water and shoreline.
