The Geographical Regional Overview (GRO) map of Southwest Florida is a 1:135,000-scale representation of existing land use. It is a composite of a series of individual county GRO maps (Charlotte, Glades, Lee, Hendry, and Collier counties) created by the GIS Business Unit of WilsonMiller, Inc. The parcels are shaded based on the existing Florida Department of Revenue tax assessment codes assigned to each parcel. These individual maps are updated annually to satisfy the needs of land investors and developers. The map shows where development is currently taking place and identifies vacant lands that are available for future development.
