New Developments Map

The New Developments Map provides critical information on new developments within the City of Indio. Indio’s population has increased 42 percent over the last five years, with an average annual growth rate of more than 8 percent. This translates to more than 6,500 new rooftops with an additional 3,000 forecast for the next three years. The map provides up-to-date information to municipal departments on the location of these new developments as well as a basis for future infrastructure planning.

The creation of the New Developments Map was spawned by enormous growth in residential and commercial areas of the city. This map served as a basemap for future planning of residential and commercial sites, streets, water and sewer improvements, and other infrastructure planning needs. Information provided has been utilized by several city departments, developers, agencies, and residents and proven crucial for a variety of forecasts and projections.
