Historic Downtown Walla Walla

This map was created to showcase and promote the amenities and activities found in historic downtown Walla Walla, Washington, and is part of the GIS Standard Map collection maintained by the City of Walla Walla. The revitalized downtown has a variety of local amenities including a public library, parks, restaurants, hotels, art, wine tasting, shopping, and historic architecture. The City of Walla Walla GIS Department worked with interns from Whitman College to collect and update addresses and winery and wine-tasting room locations. Attributes collected included landmark category and landmark names. Numerous events hosted in downtown Walla Walla include the weekly farmers market, the annual Christmas parade, a bicycle criterion, and a basketball tournament. Bicycle routes, walking routes, and public transportation make getting around downtown Walla Walla easy and enjoyable.
