The Indiana Geological Survey (IGS) provides geologic information and advice that contribute to the wise stewardship of the energy, mineral, and water resources of the state. Derived from IGS data, this 1:500,000 scale map shows the location of electricity transmission lines and natural gas pipelines in Indiana, including their voltage and diameter capacities respectively. A supplemental map isolates interstate pipelines passing through the state. In addition, locations of coal-burning electric power plants and their capacity ranges are shown using graduated symbols. The numbers on the power plant point symbols reference a table with company name, county location, and generation capacity data. Courtesy of Indiana Geological Survey. |
