Sunnyside Emergency Operations Centre Map

The City of Calgary’s Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) uses the EOC Map Series as an initial point of contact to enable better-informed decisions for resource deployment and management during emergencies. The map series is used by eight of the city’s business units, as well as other levels of government and private and public industry. Those EOC decision makers include such organizations as TriServices, ENMAX Power, ATCO Gas, Calgary Transit, and the Calgary Health Region. The maps can quickly provide an overview of the landscape from a large-scale city quadrant to a smaller-scale community. In addition, they portray what is on the ground in that area and are the basis for determining the next steps in using ArcGIS for the spatial analysis of an event.
