This map displays forecast daily trip-end data for five selected highway corridors in the San Diego region for the year 2030. Each selected corridor is surrounded by a one-mile buffer area of San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) master geographic reference areas (MGRAs). Forecast daily trip ends based on planned land use are assigned to each MGRA and classified as daily trip ends per acre using thematic symbology. The 10 unique types of daily trip attractions and productions were classified as home-based commute, home-based mixed, and non-home-based. Home-based commute trips consist of trips from home to work, school, or college. Home-based mixed trips consist of trips from home to shopping or other destinations. Non-home-based trips consist of all other trip types. This map helps SANDAG transportation planners to ensure that current plans will be sufficient to meet the demands for the future.
