The foreclosure data is based on preforeclosure activity homes in danger of foreclosure. The map was created for the company's commercial real estate agents in Las Vegas to provide a visual representation of areas most affected by foreclosure.

Foreclosures generally have a negative effect on the commercial real estate market because residential slowdowns affect retail sales and industrial uses. Commerce CRG analyzed foreclosures as a way to identify landowners in the larger clustered developments and help them sell. The process also enabled agents to assist commercial property owners facing foreclosure.
