Calgary Downtown Map
City of Calgary
This map was created many years ago using computer-aided design (CAD) software and became a mainstay on the walls of many Calgary businesses for determining building names, locations, and classifications as well as showing Calgary's Plus 15 walkway system within the downtown core area.
With the recent growth surge in Calgary, the map needed updating. To facilitate easier and quicker updating in the future, it was decided to convert the map to ArcGIS. The map was also enlarged to cover more area surrounding the core district.

Data Sources
The majority of the data on the map is from the City of Calgary's Digital Aerial Survey, which uses 1:5,000 aerial photography with a positional accuracy of better than 15 cm. The data is served up to the corporation through SDE.
