Planning for Growth-Bend Area

Oregon Metro

This poster examines the relationship between the Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and the land surrounding the Bend area. The MPO is charged with managing urban growth and sprawl while preserving farmland in the area. The map looks at travel patterns, population distribution, and land cover for the region surrounding the MPO in order to better understand the consequences and limitations of planning decisions.
