EDAW was engaged by Maunsell AECOM on behalf of the Southern and Eastern Integrated Transport Authority (SEITA) to undertake an environmental assessment of landscape and visual impacts that would result from the proposed Frankston Bypass. SEITA proposed the development of a freeway to bypass the bayside city of Frankston 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) south of Melbourne.
The primary objective of the Frankston Bypass is to achieve a continuous and balanced road network into the future with sufficient road system capacity in the Frankston-Mornington Peninsular corridor to meet the likely road travel demands resulting from Melbourne 2030—Planning for Sustainable Growth.
EDAW used ArcGIS software throughout the project for the Visual Impact Analysis and report mapping.
