Estimated Mean Distance to Health Centers by Village Unit, Soroti, Uganda

This map presents a cost-weighted analysis of the mean distance within the village administrative units of Soroti district to health centers. Distances have been calculated with consideration for typical obstacles to pedestrians (wetlands, steep slope, etc.) and has used available GIS datasets from the Northern Uganda Data Center (NUDC) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP). The classification units have been assigned according to the priority area guidelines for health center access. UNOSAT conducted this analysis in support for the NUDA and UNDP operations in the country.
