This informative map depicts surveyed road pavement conditions for the city of Inglewood. Maintaining and improving the road network is one of the Public Works Department’s highest priorities, but anticipating the need for reconstruction may sometimes be difficult when managing appropriate funding sources.
Dynamic segmentation and linear referencing documented geographic locations by using relative segments along a measured linear street feature (also known as road stationing). Through the use of these methods, city staff has been able to interpret the collected surveying data by classifying the roads by their respective pavement structural section(s).
This data thematically represents the city’s street sections and can be used as a planning tool in determining the serviceable life of pavements, cold milling and resurfacing, and rubberized asphalt treatment projects in order for the City of Inglewood to maintain acceptable drivable conditions.
