This conflict situation map was produced in direct support of United Nations humanitarian operations during the Gaza Conflict in January 2009. It was part of a detailed monitoring project by UNOSAT based on a time series of very high resolution satellite imagery. This map presents an overview of damages in the Gaza Strip following the cease-fire. Damages have been summarized by the type of damage detected and by their estimated occurrences per governorate. Damage to buildings, infrastructure, roads, and demolition areas has been identified by standard image interpretation methods with very high resolution satellite imagery acquired in January 2009.
