This map is part of a series covering the whole country of Greece at various scales. Rhodes, an island in the southeastern Aegean Sea, is a popular international tourist destination with many famous historic sites and luxury accommodations.

The main purpose for the map series was to meet the needs of visitors to Greece who require a complete and detailed map showing places of interest and the road network, along with other basemap information required of a tourist map. The series consists of about fifty maps and is scheduled to be updated at normal intervals by the GIS team of Geomatics S.A. in Athens, Greece.
