Mountainland Association of Governments

Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) is the regional planning agency for the Utah County metro area. MAG works with the public and local and state governments to provide transportation planning to meet the future needs of the region.

MAG plays a major role in planning for and the implementation of a regional bicycle/pedestrian network that provides for robust nonmotorized transportation options. This map shows the existing system in Utah County.

MAG's goal was to develop a cartographic process that would allow the map to be updated quickly and be ready for new print runs. This goal was accomplished by leveraging the power of ArcGIS to maintain the data as well as the cartographic output of each map. Adobe Creative Suite was used to manage the layout and prepress details of the brochure.
