User Conference 2007 Set for June

The 27th Annual Esri International User Conference will be held June 18–22, 2007, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, and will offer an opportunity for users to find out what's new and what's next in GIS technology. The conference will bring nearly 14,000 GIS professionals—planners, educators, technicians, developers, and managers—from more than 120 countries together under one roof to experience the ever-broadening range of GIS technology and applications.

The Esri International User Conference provides both inspiration and down-to-earth information for aspiring and experienced GIS users alike. It unites users from around the world during a week of workshops, technology briefings, presentation forums, and professional interaction. The knowledge-sharing experience can introduce attendees to cutting-edge technologies and galvanize new and lasting contacts. Among the many events to expect are:

  • User presentations will cover topics from project design and modeling to implementation and lessons learned.
  • More than 300 technical workshops, conducted by Esri staff, will offer basic instruction as well as advanced tips and tricks for new software versions and the wide range of Esri products.
  • At the Esri Showcase, Esri staff will demonstrate the latest software and answer questions about Esri software products, technical support, application development, and educational services.
  • The Exhibit Pavilion will include more than 300 hardware vendors, application developers, software value-added resellers, service providers, data providers, and other GIS-related companies—the largest gathering of GIS companies!
  • The Map Gallery and Reception on Monday evening will kick off the weeklong international display of hundreds of Esri user map products and posters.
  • Concurrent events include the sixth annual Esri Education User Conference and the fourth annual Survey & Engineering GIS Summit (formerly known as the Survey and GIS Summit), June 16–19, at the San Diego Convention Center and nearby Marriott Hotel and Marina.
  • Preconference seminars tackling many issues will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, June 16–17, 2007.
