IDM for ArcView
GIS Technology, Inc.'s (GTI) IDM for ArcView extension fully integrates the power of Esri's desktop GIS and FileNET's Panagon Integrated Document Management (IDM) system and adds functionality previously unavailable in either one. A GIS transforms geographically referenced data into information that can be queried, analyzed, and explored for a variety of purposes. A document management system allows the user to electronically view, manage, revise, share, and distribute documents related to this information in any format across the enterprise. However, the documents cannot typically be accessed directly from a GIS. IDM for ArcView adds this functionality and much more by providing an interface between both environments, enabling viewing and querying of maps and documents from either one. GTI also has interfaces with other Esri and FileNET products.
