Map visualization of multidimensional data is now easier with the availability of ESRI's Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) for ArcGIS add-on. The OLAP for ArcGIS add-on allows users of OLAP server technology to view their business data in the ArcGIS environment via read-only tables. OLAP servers, including SAP BW, SAS OLAP Server, and Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, are high-capacity, multiuser data manipulation engines that support and operate on multidimensional data structures. OLAP offers consistently rapid response to queries, regardless of database size and complexity, and handles multiuser client/server modes.

The OLAP for ArcGIS add-on offers a variety of benefits, including

• Ability to visualize spatial aspects of business intelligence data
