Conferences in England and Chile

From the southern hemisphere to the north, GIS user communities will come together this fall during two Esri international user conferences. Attendees will have access to their fellow users and Esri staff and be enriched by the diverse range of topics and insight, including ArcGIS 9.3 demonstrations.

2008 Latin American User Conference

The 2008 Esri Latin American User Conference (LAUC) will take place in Santiago, Chile, October 1�3, at the Santiago Grand Hyatt. Hosted by Esri Chile S.A., the conference will give GIS users in Latin America the opportunity to learn about and share innovative solutions for real-world problems, broaden their professional horizons, and create a place for communication and collaboration. LAUC will offer more than 30 technical workshops and more than 50 user presentations on topics ranging from agriculture and architecture to defense and intelligence.

Esri Europe, Middle East, and Africa User Conference 2008

Esri GIS users from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will meet in London, England, for their 2008 user conference, to be held October 28�30 and hosted by Esri (UK) Ltd. The conference will reflect Esri's vision for the future, where GIS solutions will play an increasingly vital role in numerous ways. Attendees will have the chance to connect with other professionals from an array of industries, including conservation, education, health care, and public works.

The conference will take place at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. Online registration will be available April 2, 2008. Abstracts are due July 18, 2008.
