ESRI to Showcase Service-Oriented Architecture GIS at Interop Las Vegas

Will Demonstrate Powerful Geospatial Analysis and Mapping Integrated with Other Enterprise Systems

Redlands, California—ESRI will showcase ArcGIS Server at Interop Las Vegas in Nevada, May 20–25, 2007. This conference will provide an opportunity to learn how geographic information system (GIS) software, specifically ArcGIS Server, can geospatially enable service-oriented architecture (SOA) systems. In addition, Dave Busser, director of business development at ESRI, will present "Architecting Your Enterprise GIS" on Wednesday, May 23.

Busser notes, "The evolution of GIS from desktop tools to enterprise infrastructure has thrust GIS into the IT mainstream. As with any enterprise technology, GIS solutions must be well architected to achieve their full value."

Many organizations face the challenge of reacting to frequently changing business requirements while trying to increase productivity and reduce costs. GIS provides the visualization and analysis that help illustrate relationships, connections, and patterns that are not necessarily obvious in any one dataset, enabling organizations to make decisions based on all relevant factors.

Integrate Spatial Analysis into Your Enterprise Systems

At Interop, ESRI will highlight the power and flexibility of its complete solution for geospatial intelligence by demonstrating key technologies and solutions including ArcGIS Server. This enterprise GIS server delivers extensive capabilities for integrating mapping, spatial analysis, and modeling within the enterprise. It is designed to plug into an SOA and includes administrative tools for integrating GIS services with other enterprise services.

ArcGIS Server supports interoperability standards including ISO, OASIS, W3C, ANSI, and Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc (OGC).

Also, ArcGIS Server integrates with other enterprise systems such as customer relationship management (CRM) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) using industry-standard software. As a result, organizations gain new value from existing information, which, in turn, improves the decision-making process and increases return on investment.

At the event, ESRI will demonstrate how its software provides geospatial services in an SOA environment through a complete set of tools for desktop, server, and mobile devices that is combined with a robust Software Development Kit (SDK) for .NET and Java.

Stop by the ESRI booth to learn more and meet with Dave Busser. The ESRI team will be in booth #149 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center.
