Learn to Secure Web Applications and Services with ESRI's ArcGIS Server 9.3

Web Seminar Next Month Will Focus on the Software's New Security Methods

Redlands, California—Find out how to set permissions to access Web applications and use the other new security features in ArcGIS Server 9.3 for the Microsoft .NET Framework during an ESRI online training seminar in September.

The live training seminar Implementing Security for ArcGIS Server .NET Solutions will air on ESRI's Training and Education Web site at www.esri.com/lts on September 4, 2008, at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. (Pacific daylight time).

The seminar's presenters will outline the new methods of establishing and managing security in ArcGIS Server 9.3 through ArcGIS Server Manager. They will discuss

  • Options for storing users and roles
  • Setting permissions for access to Web applications
  • Configuring Internet Information Services (IIS) security
  • Encrypting user credential information
  • Configuring Web service security
  • Enabling service security

This complimentary seminar is geared toward those who administer ArcGIS Server for the Microsoft .NET Framework. Participants should be familiar with ArcGIS Server components.
