Integrate ESRI's BusinessMAP with the New ACT! by Sage 2009 (11.0) Contact and Customer Management Product Family

Database Mapping Makes It Easy to Understand Customer Concentrations, Create Sales Territories, Analyze Sales by Area, and Create Reports

Redlands, California—Database information from the ACT! by Sage 2009 (11.0) contact and customer management product family is transformed into meaningful maps that make business decisions easier and more accurate by using ESRI's BusinessMAP 5. BusinessMAP, an affordable, easy-to-use database mapping solution for businesses, can be launched from the toolbars of the new ACT! and ACT! Premium for Workgroups software products, allowing users to visualize business information and perform different types of analysis.

With BusinessMAP, ACT! users can add an entire database, an ACT! group, or the current contact to BusinessMAP and display locations on a map. Then, a myriad of geographic queries can be performed—for example, finding all contacts within a 25-mile radius of an event location. Query results can be sent back to ACT! as an ACT! group for mail merges or other scheduled marketing activities.

"ACT! users can benefit from the visualization and analysis desktop mapping provides," explained Brandon Balsley, senior ACT! product manager. "BusinessMAP 5 helps users gain a better understanding of their customers through viewing locations on maps and performing mapping analysis."

Maps created with BusinessMAP allow professionals in all industries to make more informed decisions for territory design, demographic analysis, customer prospecting, route planning, and more. Interactive features and data in the new BusinessMAP 5 allow the user to

  • Access Up-to-Date Map Data—BusinessMAP 5 ships with updated U.S. streets, ZIP Codes and other map data including D&B business listings, and demographic data with population estimates and projections.
  • Design Enhanced Spider Diagrams—Illustrate many-to-one relationships with spider diagrams or desire lines that are enhanced to show distance measurements for each line. For example, display lines to illustrate customer traffic to a retail store.
  • Create Smart Polygons—Associate attributes to polygons drawn on a map. For example, draw a territory defined by major roads and assign a territory name, sales representative, total number of customers, or other attribute to the polygon.
  • Edit Data and Include Latitude and Longitude in Database for Easy Geocoding—A new dual-purpose tool permits the editing of data from within BusinessMAP, and appends the database with latitude and longitude fields (lat/longs). Save a copy of the database with lat/longs for faster geocoding in BusinessMAP or other ESRI applications.
  • Add Photos to Maps—Include photos of a specific location right on the map such as an office or proposed new site.
  • Enhance Google Earth and Google Maps—Share maps by transferring your points and polygons from BusinessMAP to Google Maps or Google Earth. Pull data created with Google Maps into BusinessMAP for advanced customization and analysis.

Features such as color-coded analysis, territory design, ring studies, drive-time analysis, and geographic queries along with the ability to bring in and analyze geographic points and information make BusinessMAP a source of competitive advantage.

As a special promotion, any ACT! 2008 user can license BusinessMAP 5 for $299.95 (a $50.00 savings) by calling the special BusinessMAP/ACT! hotline at 1-888-523-0269. This offer expires September 30, 2008.
