Learn How to Make Fleets Lean and Green at the Free ArcLogistics Seminar

Attendees Will See How the Complete Routing and Scheduling Solution Provides Immediate Cost Savings, Improves Customer Service, and Reduces Emissions

Redlands, California—Government and business professionals who have vehicle fleets they need to schedule and route are encouraged to attend the free ESRI ArcLogistics Seminar being held October 23, 2008, at the Pasadena Hilton in Pasadena, California. As the cost of fuel continues to rise and budgets get tighter, this is the perfect time to learn firsthand how to cut costs, improve service, and grow operations using the ArcLogistics software solution.

This half-day seminar is a quick and convenient way for professionals to discover how they can use ArcLogistics to create accurate and efficient schedules and routes and see savings of 10 to 30 percent in terms of fuel expense, employee overtime, fleet maintenance, and time spent routing. From reducing mileage and vehicle wear and tear to increasing effectiveness and cost-efficiency, attendees will see how ArcLogistics is a complete routing and scheduling solution that easily integrates with an organization's existing operations, workflows, and technologies.

ArcLogistics is built on ESRI's ArcGIS platform, making it an effective operational tool as well as a data collection tool for larger, enterprise geographic information system (GIS) efforts and analysis. Using their own network dataset and GIS layers, users can share their routes and data within an organization.

"Scheduling and routing vehicles is an essential but expensive part of many organizations' operations," said Jack Dangermond, president of ESRI. "ArcLogistics helps organizations optimize their fleets to save fuel, reduce unnecessary labor hours, and lower emissions."

Attendees will see how the short startup time frame for ArcLogistics results in faster scheduling and routing processes; efficient delivery schedules based on vehicle capacity, driver skill, and time windows; accurate routes with high-quality street information and actual street network drive times; access to relevant, current data and easy import and export tools for customer and route information; and business expansion using the same resources currently in place.

Professionals in both the public and private sector wanting to optimize their scheduling and routing can register online. Those interested should sign up early since space is limited. To find out more about ArcLogistics and ESRI, visit www.esri.com/arclogistics.
