Esri/IBM/Microsoft Helps School District Maintain Facilities
The Los Angeles Unified School District recently deployed a new application that allows students and faculty to report repairs needed to district facilities and assets using their mobile devices that route the data to servers hosted by Microsoft Azure. The app is integrated with the district’s GIS, integrating reported data with the district’s ArcGIS database that is tied into an IBM Maximo asset management system. Learn more.

Esri at Visual Studio Live! Redmond and New York
Esri recently participated in two Visual Studio Live! events, showcasing some of our newest developer products. These included ArcGIS Runtime, our Silverlight and HTML5 APIs, our ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Windows Mobile and ArcGIS Online. In addition, we presented several papers at each event, and enjoyed talking with a variety of developers about their challenges and ways they could leverage our developer tools to add mapping and spatial analysis to their projects.
New Microsoft Platform Solutions and Tools Seen at TechEd
A team of Esri product managers, marketing, sales, developers and partner managers all helped to support Microsoft TechEd this year where we highlighted some of the newest products from Esri for the Microsoft platform. These included a new product called Esri Maps for Office, which enables anyone to easily map their Excel data, ArcGIS for SharePoint, and ArcGIS for Windows Mobile. We were also demonstrating our ArcGIS Online product, built on Microsoft Azure, which extends mapping into the cloud environment.
