Local Governments Move to Integrate Business Intelligence with GIS
The Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission (NKAPC) integrated Information Builders' WEBFocus system with their existing ESRI GIS to create a strong reporting solution to keep track of applications for permits, zoning, and land development as well as be a watchdog for code enforcement. This solution allows NKAPC to see where permits are issued, produce code enforcement reports, and determine where there might be code violations.
