Spatially enabling documents and other unstructured content gives users new and valuable insight into the effects of location on the analysis and management of assets and business processes. It also provides a new and intuitive method of locating and retrieving content by merely pointing to a subject location on a map. Finally, it permits a new level of data integration by providing access to other spatial data such as aerial/satellite imagery, demography, transportation networks, and geophysical data.
