Nokia and Esri Hosted Windows 8 Hackathon

Windows 8 Hackathon A Windows 8 Hackathon was recently hosted by Esri and Nokia on the Esri campus in Redlands, California. Forty local developers attended and developed over 10 Windows 8 apps that will be promoted in the Windows Store.

Esri Supports Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference

Esri Maps for Office Continuing a long tradition, Esri this year sponsored a booth at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston, and was also invited to copresent and demonstrate at breakout sessions by the Bing Maps, Windows and Server, and Cloud teams.

Esri at TechEd Europe

TechEd Europe Esri EspaƱa Geosistemas S.A. provided strong support with Esri Corporate for a presence at the recent TechEd Europe conference in Madrid, Spain. European Union (EU) attendees were eager to learn about Esri's public-sector and governmental solutions including its Eye on Earth environmental portal for the European Union.

Microsoft at Esri Petroleum GIS Conference

Arcgis with Office 365 Ali Ferling, Microsoft's worldwide managing director, Oil, Gas and Mining, addressed some 1,500 energy industry managers at the Esri Petroleum GIS Conference Plenary Session in Houston in May. The conference also provided an opportunity to demonstrate some of the ways in which Esri and Microsoft have combined their offerings to provide value to customers. The integration of ArcGIS with Office 365 was showcased.

The recently released ArcGIS for Developers site includes the tools, documentation, and other resources that will help developers quickly deliver mapping to their organizations using their API of choice for deployment on any device.
