GEONIS expert and GEONIS server
GEONIS network information system for energy utilities and industrial companies—The open and generic architecture of the GEONIS program suite provides the basis for what is probably the most powerful enterprise GIS framework currently available. The system is based on the ArcGIS platform from ESRI.
The product family includes a wide range of ready-to-use application modules for network data (e.g., water, gas, wastewater, electricity) from utilities, waste management companies, and industrial enterprises. All standard application modules benefit from a uniform user interface and standardized application parameterization, which is a significant advantage in staff training and application in practice. The application modules are defined in XML and can be complemented or adapted through sophisticated mechanisms without compromising the update capability of the system. Users can configure their own application modules using built-in GEONIS tools.
