ACTIBus is a comprehensive transportation management package for schools. It creates optimized bus routes and reports with maps, and it also manages all aspects of transportation for schools including • Student information system • Route times and distance calculations • Special needs student transportation • Management of school information • Management of driver and attendant information • Automated stops creation • Data manipulation and import from other systems • School districts • Boundary planning It provides the users with tools to modify the routes; to add stops; and to create ad hoc routes, reports, and so forth. The software requires ArcView GIS 3.2 and the ArcView Network Analyst extension. An Internet version will be available by fall 2000.
