Partner of the Year: NVision Solutions, Inc.
—Consultant and Value-Added Reseller (VAR)
NVision Solutions, Inc., is the developer of HazNet, an ArcGIS Server 9.3 real-time common operating picture (COP) that provides sensor, weather, person, and vehicle tracking; models; resource tracking and management; and field reports for emergency managers at every level of government and industry. HazNet makes emergency operations centers compliant with the latest requirements of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Incident Management System (NIMS) incident command system (ICS). But because HazNet is GIS based, it goes beyond ICS reporting compliance to provide true situational awareness during a crisis, helping save lives and property through better sharing of information and allocation of people, equipment, and other critical resources.

HazNet is based on NVision's experience and lessons learned along the Gulf Coast for Hurricanes Ivan and Katrina. Hancock County, Mississippi, used HazNet successfully for Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. Based on these successes, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) purchased a large HazNet installation for its headquarters and the NASA Stennis and Michoud bases.

Both NAVTEQ and Boeing have teamed with NVision to include NAVTEQ's data and a Boeing HazNet client for Windows mobile phones as optional add-ons.

The NASA HazNet installation will include the newly supported Intuiface multitouch surface computer, which includes a HazNet client using the new ESRI ArcGIS Server 9.3 API for Flex on the Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) platform.

DHS has named HazNet a "promising technology" as part of the DHS Safety Act preapplication process. NVision will complete DHS Safety Act certification for HazNet in 2009.

NVision is a trusted and dependable partner for delivering solutions that meet the mission-critical needs of ESRI's customers.
