Tadpole Technology Extends GO! Sync^® Mobile GIS to Support Inspections

Carlsbad, California, April 20, 2006—Tadpole Technology announces the availability of an optional field inspection extension for GO! Sync^® Mobile GIS. The new Inspection Extension allows mobile workers to access and update inspection records using Tablet PCs and laptop computers.

As an extension to GO! Sync Mobile GIS, this powerful solution enables an organization to incorporate field inspection capabilities into its ESRI geographic information system (GIS) environment. GO! Sync Inspection Extension enhances the map viewing and redlining capabilities inherent in GO! Sync Mobile GIS to allow feature attributes to be updated while in the field. With the GO! Sync Inspection Extension, relevant attribute information is presented through a customizable form-based interface that allows the user to enter or update information about specific features.

The GO! Sync Inspection Extension is an out-of-the-box solution that meets the principal inspection requirements of any organization. Because the forms are highly configurable and extensible, the solution requires no individual customization to successfully deploy. Building on Tadpole’s open, enterprise approach to mobile GIS, it leverages organizations’ existing geodatabase data structures and domain constraints and has no rigid process constraints.
