Microsoft's newest desktop and tablet operating system, Windows 8.1, is fully supported by Esri. ArcGIS for Desktop runs seamlessly on devices powered by Windows 8, while Esri's ArcGIS app (available as a free download from the Windows Store) allows customers to access ArcGIS Online maps.
