What's Coming in ArcIMS 9.3

Enhancements to ArcIMS will primarily involve the spatial server, metadata services, and the Web Map Server (WMS) connector.

Spatial Server

• PostgreSQL for ArcSDE data
• Support for Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6)
• Unicode support for ArcSDE and shapefiles

Metadata Services

• Support for Informix and PostgreSQL enterprise databases
• Support for SQL Server Express edition with Advanced Services workgroup database

WMS Connector

• Support for the WMS 1.3.0 specification

In addition, ArcIMS will ship with Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5.0 Update 13.
