A rasterizer is software that converts all the elements of your map into a single raster image. ArcPress produces a single raster image in your printer's native raster language, enabling your printer to directly print your map.

ArcPress for ArcGIS supports a wide range of large-format printers commonly used by ESRI customers. These include all HP Designjet printers, such as the HP Designjet 800, 1000, and 5000 printer series as well as the wide-format 120 printer series, and Epson Stylus Pro.
