ArcSketch is a free sample extension for ArcGIS that lets you select a sketch tool and an associated symbol, then draw your map features. ArcSketch automatically manages the drawing environment and assigns symbols to the appropriate feature layer, allowing you to conceptualize what to draw, as opposed to how to draw it.

With ArcSketch, you can

• Use out-of-the-box or customized symbols to meet your specific needs.
• Predefine features with respect to the parent feature class, type, and value.
• Create and maintain a personal geodatabase for each sketch project.

ArcSketch 1.1 works with ArcGIS 9.1, and ArcSketch 1.2 works with ArcGIS 9.2; they provide identical functionality.
