An intuitive user interface makes it easy for you to create aesthetically pleasing and informative labels. Advanced placement parameters are organized into logical groupings for you to define label position, fit strategies, and conflict resolution.

Advanced placement properties let you choose how labels are placed. For example, for a polygon feature, the label could be placed curved with the polygon. But if the text doesn't fit, various alternative strategies can be applied, such as stacking, reducing font height, abbreviating, overrunning the boundary, or placing text outside the polygon.
