Do I need to purchase other ESRI software to run PLTS for ArcGIS?

Yes. PLTS for ArcGIS operates directly and dependently with ESRI's core software. Please refer to System Requirements for more specific details.

How is PLTS for ArcGIS licensed?

PLTS for ArcGIS follows the same licensing model as ArcGIS, with key codes for concurrent use licensing and registration numbers for single use licensing.

For PLTS for ArcGIS—Foundation, a license will be required for the Foundation Tools, GIS Data ReViewer, and Map Production System-Atlas components.

If a solution is purchased, a user will receive a license feature for the solution as well.

If a single component of Foundation is purchased, all three components can be installed, but only the licensed component will be enabled.

Are each of the PLTS for ArcGIS components sold separately?

Three of the PLTS for ArcGIS components (GIS Data ReViewer, Map Production System-Atlas, and JTX) are available as separate products. Foundation Tools is not sold separately.

How much does PLTS for ArcGIS cost?

A quote for PLTS for ArcGIS can be obtained by contacting ESRI's Customer Service or your ESRI regional office or international distributor.

Can I evaluate PLTS for ArcGIS before purchasing it?

Yes. Evaluation licenses can be obtained for each of the PLTS for ArcGIS solutions and components prior to purchasing licenses by contacting your ESRI regional office or international distributor.

Are training courses available for PLTS for ArcGIS?

Yes. PLTS for ArcGIS training courses are offered through ESRI's Learning Center. We highly recommend that training be given to key staff who will be using these tools. Customized training is also available and can be conducted either at ESRI Learning Centers or any appropriately equipped client site. An Introduction to Map Production System-Atlas course is also available at ESRI's Training and Education Web site.

Can I use PLTS for ArcGIS with other ArcGIS extensions?

Yes. PLTS for ArcGIS integrates seamlessly with other ArcGIS extensions.

Can I install the current version of PLTS for ArcGIS on UNIX?

PLTS for ArcGIS runs on ArcGIS Desktop, which is not available for UNIX.

Is PLTS for ArcGIS supported on Windows NT?

The current version of PLTS for ArcGIS is not supported on Windows NT.

Is PLTS for ArcGIS customizable?

PLTS for ArcGIS can be customized using the PLTS Product Development Procedures included in the PLTS Online Help system.

Can I use the current version of PLTS for ArcGIS with an older version of ArcGIS?

No. In order to install and fuction correctly, the versions for each must be in sync. For example, PLTS for ArcGIS 9.1 only works with ArcGIS 9.1.
