PLTS Foundation Key Features
Load Data in Batch ModeThe data load automation tools assist in batch loading data into a geodatabase. This is especially useful for data that is collected to a standard. The data load automation tool uses a database as a cross-reference database to search for source data and load the data into a personal or enterprise geodatabase. Edit Data Using Powerful Editing ToolsThe PLTS editing interface is designed to maximize usability and utility for a data production environment. The editing tasks consist of a variety of tools to maximize productivity and data quality in a production environment. Features are validated as they are extracted to ensure data integrity. Knowledge Base Data Quality ControlPLTS utilizes a knowledge base that is composed of several tables to control valid feature attribution and symbology. Through the tables, the PLTS applications access database information as necessary. This allows the application to be more generic while the tables combined with the data itself control the output. Detected errors can be logged to a database table or immediately corrected. Produce Maps Using the Map Production SystemThe Map Production System is designed to facilitate cartographic production. The MPS operates in two modes: one allows you to design and save a new map series while the other uses the defined map series to build a cartographic product. Several products are predefined within the MPS. A map series is defined by the surround elements necessary for the map series as well as the layout. Once defined and incorporated into the system, surround elements are generated and can be modified to suit the needs of the specific map in the series. There are also cartographic tools designed to assist in map production. Customize the Solution to Meet Your NeedsPLTS has been designed to be adjustable and extensible to create a flexible environment. Many of the editing, validation, and rendering tools within the PLTS system take advantage of modifiable rules stored in the knowledge base. By storing the rules in the knowledge base, you can easily develop new products and modify existing products to meet your database requirements. |
