What's New in Tracking Server 1.1
Tracking Server 1.1 offers improvements to the handling of the history of tracked objects as well as enhancements to the Tracking Viewer Applet. It also includes support for new configurations.
History of Tracked Objects
- You can now configure historical maintenance on a per-tracking-service basis:
- Choose to retain the last known event per unique object, last n seconds of events, or last n events per unique object. This is configurable via the Connector Data Link interface.
- View the historical maintenance settings and queue sizes in the Client Gateway administration Web interface.
Tracking Viewer Applet
- The Tracking Viewer Applet supports clients using Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, and Opera browsers.
- The Tracking Viewer Applet now includes
- Coordinate display
- Map navigation tools
- Tracking Server connection and message status
- Disconnect and reconnect handling if the connection to the Client Gateway is lost temporarily
- A Javadoc API is now available for the Tracking Viewer Applet.

- Support for new Web server/servlet engine configurations
- BEA WebLogic
- IBM WebSphere
Additional Improvements
- The Connector Data Link allows connections to multiple gateways.
- Polygon symbology supports specifying a No Fill option.
- Tracking Server now offers full Java Development Kit 5.0 support.
