MapStudio provides access to content from many of the world's leading commercial and governmental providers of geographic data. MapStudio includes physical, environmental, political, and cultural data for the United States, Canada, Europe, and the world. This data has been presented together, as appropriate, in a collection of map services that can be used to build and output custom map images for publication and analysis.

Geography Network
The Geography Network is a Web-based collection of geographic content including maps, data, and services. The Geography Network provides live access to this content using the latest Internet mapping technology. The Geography Network can be used to discover and access map content from hundreds of organizations worldwide including each of the MapStudio data providers listed below.
DigitalGlobe
DigitalGlobe is the most recent and, possibly, most powerful entry in the extensive earth information marketplace. QuickBird provides the highest resolution satellite imagery available (60 centimeter) to the commercial market, the broadest swath width, the highest accuracy, the highest collection capacity, and an imaging footprint two to ten times larger than any other commercial high-resolution satellite. DigitalGlobe's technical superiority goes hand in hand with the company's high standards associated with product quality, commitment to customer service, and easy-to-work-with business style. East View Cartographic, Inc.
East View Cartographic, Inc. is a leading provider of all types of global geospatial datasets and map data to government, academic, and corporate customers. East View Publications, Inc. ESRI
ESRI is the world leader in GIS software and services. As the leader in GIS technology, ESRI offers innovative solutions that will help users create, visualize, analyze, and present information better and more clearly. ESRI focuses on publishing two important types of datasets: (1) datasets that provide the basic data needed as a framework for building a GIS database and (2) datasets that help people learn about GIS. Through MapStudio, subscribers have access to world basemap and thematic data from enhanced ArcWorld, ArcAtlas, and Digital Chart of the World (DCW) datasets.
ESRI Data
ESRI Data offers information needed to analyze a geographic area based on demographics. Demographic data can also be used to improve business planning and reduce marketing costs. Through MapStudio, subscribers have access to household and lifestyle demographic variables for the United States.
GlobeExplorer
GlobeXplorer is a leading geographic data integration and publishing company providing online access to the world's largest commercial library of georeferenced digital aerial imagery. The library contains hundreds of terabytes of imagery from a variety of providers including AirPhotoUSA, i-cubed, DigitalGlobe, Space Imaging, EarthSat, WorldSat, and The GeoInformation Group as well as GlobeXplorer's own Citipix six-inch resolution data for 65 major metropolitan areas in the United States. The company's image library is distributed over the Internet using a proprietary platform that dynamically searches, retrieves, compacts, and delivers within seconds high-quality images from an online database. Using this technology, GlobeXplorer provides fast and affordable access to aerial images and associated database content to thousands of businesses and consumers. The basic version of MapStudio shows you the locations of healthcare professionals and facilities, law enforcement, courts, education facilities, and places of worship. Meteorlogix

This represents the first time that a comprehensive suite of high-quality, commercial grade weather information from worldwide sources has been made available via the Internet to mapmakers, making it possible to immediately integrate live weather information into hard-copy maps and online applications.
National Geographic Society
The National Geographic Society (NGS) Topo! map service may be used as a basemap for GIS or other mapping applications. The map service includes high-quality scans of the 1:24,000-scale U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) topographic maps-the most detailed maps available for outdoor enthusiasts, hobbyists, and professionals. NGS Topo! map service includes reference data from ESRI and USGS at smaller scales. (Only available in MapStudio for Homeland Security at this time.)
Tele Atlas
Tele Atlas is the leading supplier of high quality digital road maps used in a wide variety of applications all over Europe. For more than ten years, Tele Atlas has focused its efforts on the production, sales, and continuous updating of various geographical databases for major European regions. Tele Atlas now markets the most comprehensive package of geographic information in Europe. By producing the only uniform digital road map of Western Europe, Tele Atlas has entered a new era in consumer and business applications based on map information. Data are available for Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. (Only available in the MapStudio for Media at this time.)
Public Data
MapStudio provides access to a wide variety of public data, as listed below. Data layers available from these organizations include federal lands, demographic variables, flood risk zones, natural hazard events, shaded relief imagery, cultural facilities, global population and more. Most of the data layers are available as part of the U.S. Maps service. MapStudio will be updated with additional useful public datasets as they become available.
