The newest version of ESRI Business Analyst Online streamlines existing workflows and introduces powerful comparison reporting to speed site evaluation.
New comparison and benchmark reporting in Business Analyst online allows users to compare the market characteristics of different locations in order to make the best possible site-related decisions. In addition, users can also see how a site stacks up against the ZIP Code, county, state, and national values to see if a particular site is above or below average compared with the region in which it is located. Users can also create and rerun custom comparison reports so they can compare the data that is most useful to their business.
Users can now choose to see variables as a percentage of the population in addition to the actual values. This allows you to see where larger concentrations of a variable are present compared with the rest of the region and toggle between values and percentages even after the map has been created.
Users can now see how locations relate to demographic, consumer spending, and business data. It is now possible to import files of address locations and display them over color-coded maps to uncover trends and patterns. Upload your own images and toggle the layers on and off in the My Layers menu.
Sites are now named by the address by default but can easily be edited in the site creation workflow.
The My Sites drop-down list now provides the option to view sites in a list view or a folder view. Both views can be sorted to easily find the desired site. Sites that are selected for viewing on the map are listed in a separate window so users can quickly see which sites are turned on.
The Dominant Tapestry Segment Map and Site Map on Satellite Imagery will be available soon. The Dominant Tapestry Segment Map provides a color coding of the dominant consumer segments in the marketplace.
Now it is possible to place more reports in each order. Up to 20 reports can be ordered at one time, increasing efficiency and productivity.
Users who place orders consisting of many reports can now access the reports in a single all-in-one PDF. This makes sharing the reports with others much easier. It is now also possible to delete previous reports from the system to maintain better organization.
The satellite imagery in Business Analyst Online is updated on a quarterly basis. However, each image in the satellite layer has a specific date on which the photo was taken. Now it is possible to click on the map to find out the exact date of the image for any particular location.
