We'll make sure that you seamlessly transfer from one subscription term to another. Prior to your renewal date, Esri Customer Service will contact you about your subscription. The first contact is 120 days prior to expiration of your maintenance term, providing ample time for you to respond and avoid disruption of your benefits.

120 days before the expiration date of the maintenance term
Esri Customer Service emails the person who has been identified by your organization as the point of contact for maintenance issues. We'll ask for confirmation of contact information as well as Esri software license information (e.g., license quantity or type) to ensure that we have accurate information for generating a new Esri Software Maintenance Subscription quote. Discrepancies should be noted and promptly returned to Esri Customer Service.
90 days before the expiration date of the maintenance term
We'll e-mail a renewal quote to your organization's designated contact. The quote lists all of your organization's Esri software licenses under maintenance (including the type of license and quantity), the maintenance term for those licenses, the type of maintenance for each license (primary or secondary), type of technical support, and associated fees for each license.
60 days before the expiration date of the maintenance term
If we haven't received a purchase order, payment, or some other confirmation that you've received the renewal quote, Esri Customer Service will contact you again to verify your account information and interest in renewing your Esri Software Maintenance Subscription.
15 days before the expiration date of the maintenance term
An Esri Customer Service representative will send notification that your maintenance term will expire in 15 days. A lapse in your maintenance subscription will affect your ability to receive technical support as well as your eligibility to receive software updates that are released during a non-active maintenance term. Other benefits, such as complimentary Esri User Conference registrations, will also be affected.
Day of maintenance expiration date
If Esri has not received a purchase order or payment by this date, you will receive a notification stating that your maintenance subscription has expired. While technical support will be extended for an additional 30 days, you won't be eligible to receive any other benefits.
If a purchase order or payment is received during the extended 30-day technical support period, all benefits will be reinstated.
