How can I develop applications with MapObjects LT?
MapObjects LT can be used with a variety of industry-standard programming environments such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, Delphi, PowerBuilder, and others. MapObjects LT plugs directly into these familiar environments, allowing you to build applications quickly.
What kinds of applications can I build?
MapObjects LT can be used to solve a wide variety of user needs. You can add mapping components to enhance existing applications, build lightweight data viewing applications, or create new mapping and GIS programs that solve specific tasks.
What is the difference between MapObjects and MapObjects LT?

Why should I upgrade to MapObjects LT 2?

What data can I use with MapObjects LT?
You can access an unrivaled assortment of native data formats, ranging from standard GIS formats (ArcInfo coverages and ESRI shapefiles) to CAD formats (DXF, DWG, and DGN) as well as a variety of image formats including MrSID.
What data is included with MapObjects LT?
MapObjects LT includes ESRI Data & Maps, a large and comprehensive collection of data that lets you immediately start adding maps to your applications.

Note: The Streetmap *.edg files included in the Data & Maps set are not supported in MapObjects LT.
What else is included with MapObjects LT?
MapObjects LT includes many sample applications, complete with source code, so you can start building applications immediately. The comprehensive online help includes lots of examples you can copy and paste directly into your applications. MapObjects LT also includes excellent hard-copy documentation.
