A free ArcGIS Online Public Account is an individual account and not associated with an organization. It gives you access to a limited set of functionality for creating and sharing maps. You can share with the broad public or keep everything completely private. You also get access to content shared by Esri and users, plus 2 GB of free storage. ArcGIS Online Public Accounts are for non-commercial use only.

Share Your Maps

Use your Public Account to work on personal projects, for example a map of your favorite hiking trails, then share your map so others can use it too. Teachers and students can use Public Accounts to learn about GIS. Maps can be shared by embedding them in web pages, blogs, configurable web application templates, story map templates, or by simply e-mailing a link.
